At YourStoryFest (LAVECO USA LLC) ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you" or "your"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you participate in our open calls for short video submissions.

We collect the following information from you when you submit a video to our contest:

  1. Personal Information:

    • Name: We collect your name so we can properly identify you and contact you if you are a winner.

    • Email Address: We use your email address to communicate with you regarding your submission, contest updates, and prize notifications.

    • Social Media Links: We collect links to your social media profiles (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) so we can credit you when reposting your video and to facilitate awarding prizes.

  2. Video Content: We collect the links to the videos you submit. We shall not download, store and post your videos unless this is the only way to repost this video or to use it as part of our marketing campaign to promote the award winner announcement or other similar contests. 

 

 

II. How We Use Your Information:

We use your information for the following purposes:

  1. Contest Administration: To manage and administer the video contest, including reviewing submissions, selecting winners, and distributing prizes.

  2. Social Media Promotion: To repost your submitted video on our social media channels, giving you credit and promoting your work.

  3. Communication: To contact you regarding your submission, contest updates, and if you are selected as a winner, to coordinate prize distribution.

  4. Legal Compliance: We may use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

  5. Marketing: we can use your videos to promote other similar contests and art prizes. Under no cicumstance shall we use your content to promote activities not connected to contest or art prizes.

  1. Judges: Your video and associated information (name, social media links) will be shared with our panel of judges for evaluation purposes.

  2. Social Media Platforms: When we repost your video, your name and social media links will be visible on the respective platforms.

IV. Data Security:

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  

You can ask to delete all your personal information and the videos you submitted if you want to stop using our platform. This action is free of charge. We shall delete your information as soon at it will be possible, which normally takes up to 72 hours, with the longest deadline being 10 business days.

V. Data Retention:

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to administer the contest, promote your video (if selected), and comply with legal obligations. Usually the retention of the information shall not be longer than 1 calendar year counted from the date when the data is registered in our system.

Our contest is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has submitted a video, please contact us immediately.
